Senior Product Engineer
Sphere is looking for a passionate product engineer to help build out new features and products on our roadmap and take our customer experience to the next level. You’ll work directly with customers, our design and engineering teams, and the CEO/Founder to bring Sphere’s vision of becoming the world’s first cross‑border compliance engine to life.
Mission Sphere has built the world’s first AI‑native tax engine that helps companies like Lovable, Eleven Labs, Replit, Runway AI, Windsurf, and many more automate their sales tax, VAT and GST obligations. We’re growing rapidly (34%+ MoM revenue growth) and are backed by a16z, Felicis Ventures and YC.
What you will do Within weeks:
Work with many customers to understand their pain points and prioritize low‑hanging fruit features.
Collaborate extensively with design to bring those features to life.
Execute and ship features end‑to‑end on a daily basis.
Provide customer support to deepen understanding of user needs.
Within months:
Own our feature/product roadmap with the CEO/Founder.
Build and implement rigorous customer‑feedback and analysis processes to better prioritize the roadmap.

Requirements
Strong experience with React – our front end is built entirely in React.
Strong experience with Figma for efficient collaboration with design.
Customer obsession – you’ll interact with finance professionals and need to genuinely enjoy that.
Very strong attention to detail – errors in numbers are not acceptable.
Strong organization skills – you’ll manage hundreds of feature requests.
Nice to have
Experience with large volumes of transaction data.
Experience in Python and Django – our backend and data pipeline are built with these technologies.
Experience using tools such as PostHog and Sentry.
