Key Responsibilities:
Install and program access control systems, including software and hardware setup
Troubleshoot, service, and repair access control and related physical security systems
Perform routine system inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance
Interpret and follow technical blueprints, diagrams, and manuals
Provide training and guidance to end users on access system functionality
Respond promptly to service calls, especially emergency repair needs
Collaborate with client security teams to assess and meet operational requirements
Document service history, system changes, and equipment installations
Recommend and implement system upgrades as technologies evolve
Ensure all work complies with company policies, safety protocols, and relevant regulations
Preferred Experience:
Candidates with hands-on experience working with the following platforms will be strongly preferred:
Verkada – Cloud-based security and access control systems
Avigilon – End-to-end video analytics and access control solutions
Ruckus (formerly Rumbus) – Networking and wireless systems, as it relates to access control integration
Qualifications:
Prior experience installing and supporting access control or physical security systems
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and wiring schematics
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and organizational skills
Familiarity with low-voltage cabling and electronic security integration
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for both team and client interactions
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
High school diploma or equivalent (technical certifications a plus)
Salary:
$35,000 - $45,000
