On-site at a male correctional facility Position Overview We are seeking a
licensed Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP)
to provide
full-time, on-site primary care services
to the male population at a correctional facility in
Grafton, Ohio
. This is a
contract-to-hire opportunity
with weekday-only hours and flexibility in daily start and end times based on facility needs. The assignment is projected to last
approximately 4 months
, with the potential for extension or permanent placement based on ongoing needs and mutual agreement. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive primary care services, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up Manage acute and chronic medical conditions Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results Prescribe medications and therapies in compliance with state and federal regulations Document patient care accurately and timely in the medical record Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare and correctional staff Adhere to all clinical, safety, and security protocols within the correctional setting Required Qualifications Active
Ohio Nurse Practitioner license Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
or
Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP)
certification Minimum
1 year of Nurse Practitioner experience
in a
primary care or hospital medicine
setting Board certification
in specialty BLS/CPR certification
(healthcare provider level) DEA registration
(required for the assignment) Ability to work on-site in a correctional healthcare environment Credentialing Requirements The following documents must be submitted for consideration: Comprehensive resume including education (school name, location, and year of graduation), training, and complete work history Active Ohio NP license Board certification BLS/CPR certification (healthcare professional level) DEA certification Pre-Start Requirements: If an offer is extended, the vendor must provide
drug screening and TB test documentation
for review by the hiring manager
at least 48 hours prior to the start date
. Failure to meet this requirement may result in a postponed start date.
