Job Description: Specimen Processing Technician I (SPT I): Job Summary: The Specimen Processing Technician I provides essential support in a fast-paced laboratory environment. This role focuses on accurate specimen handling, data entry, and compliance with quality and safety standards to ensure customer satisfaction

Responsibilities: Process laboratory specimens including presorting, centrifugation, aliquoting, imaging, and delivery to lab areas Perform high-volume data entry (minimum 6,000 alphanumeric keystrokes/hour) Accurately identify specimen types and related test orders Follow changing compliance and test-ordering regulations Meet productivity, quality, and turnaround time standards Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Communicate effectively with team members and leadership Demonstrate flexibility in response to daily operational changes
Work Environment & Schedule: Production-driven laboratory setting Biohazard environment with required safety practices Ability to sit or stand for extended periods Primarily night shift Availability required for weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime
