This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, driving process improvements, and supporting strategic decision‑making across the portfolio. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, proactive, and skilled at managing deadlines in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities Manage the day‑to‑day accounting for a portfolio of mixed real estate properties. Oversee month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements. Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and property‑level reporting. Maintain the general ledger and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies. Prepare, review, and analyze budget‑to‑actual variance reports. Coordinate annual budgets, forecasting, and cash‑flow planning for assigned properties. Support audits, tax preparation, and external reporting as needed. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. 5+ years of accounting experience. Strong understanding of GAAP and real estate accounting principles. Proficiency with Yardi, MRI, or similar real estate accounting software. Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
