Interim Senior Accountant
Our client, a rapidly growing AI technology company, is seeking a Senior Accountant to work closely with a seasoned finance leader and help scale accounting operations in a high-growth environment.
The position is on-site in San Francisco, Monday through Friday, with occasional remote Saturday work during month-end and year-end close. This engagement has an expected duration of 4 months with potential for conversion.
Responsibilities
- Manage month-end close and prepare GL journal entries
- Perform bank reconciliations and take ownership of the process
- Analyze historical accounting data for cleanup and accuracy
- Generate reports, perform account reconciliations, and conduct variance analysis
- Assist with AP accruals, lease accounting (ASC 842), and ad hoc projects
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in high-growth or startup environments
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial statement preparation
- Proficiency with QuickBooks and Google Sheets
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
