Job Title: Medical ReceptionistJob Description
The Medical Receptionist will play a crucial role in supporting a specialty medical practice by scribing information for the dermatologist, cleaning and stocking exam rooms, scheduling patient and surgical appointments, and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Scribe medical information for the dermatologist.
- Clean and stock exam rooms to ensure readiness for patient visits.
- Schedule patient appointments efficiently and accurately.
- Support scheduling of surgical appointments.
- Handle patient check-in process, updating personal and insurance information.
- Manage a multi-line phone system effectively.
- File and maintain medical records appropriately.
- Collect copays and cash payments from patients.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in medical terminology.
- Strong typing skills.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as NextGen and EMA.
- Excellent customer service skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in patient care.
- Familiarity with electronic health records.
Work Environment
The role is based in a specialty medical practice, requiring onsite presence five days a week, Monday through Friday from 7:45 am to 5:00 pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portsmouth, NH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
