The HR Generalist will provide comprehensive human resources support for our US‑based locations, ensuring alignment with global HR strategies while addressing local needs. This role is pivotal in delivering operational HR services, supporting employee engagement, and ensuring compliance with local labor laws and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
Act as first point of contact to address employee queries related to benefits and leave policies.
Administer benefits programs including health, retirement, and wellness plans.
Liaise with vendors to ensure accurate enrollment and communication of benefits.
Coordinate onboarding and off‑boarding processes to ensure a smooth transition throughout the employee lifecycle.
Support initiatives that promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on all HR related policies and practices.
Work with Global HRBPs to manage local employee relations issues and provide advice on performance management and probation processes.
Manage leave management process and coordinate with payroll (parental leaves, FMLA, disability, etc.).
Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data.
Ensure compliance with local labor laws and internal policies.
Support audits, compliance, and reporting requirements.
Participate in global and regional HR projects and process improvements.
Contribute to diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.
Work Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
At least 5 years of HR experience, preferably in a multinational or reinsurance/financial services environment.
Strong knowledge of US labor laws and HR best practices.
Knowledge of US immigration laws and processes, including work permits and visa requirements, preferable.
Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a matrixed organization.
Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
