Position Overview
Part‑time Neonatologist – NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln (Level III Perinatal Center). The role is part of the Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY). Responsibilities include caring for newborn infants until ready for discharge, providing prenatal care for high‑risk infants, and managing infant nutrition and alternative feeding methods. The position entails a 21‑hour work week with a base salary of $117,600 (board eligible) or $125,868 (board certified) plus additional compensation for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
Responsibilities
- Care for newborn infants until they are ready to go home.
- Provide prenatal care for high‑risk infants.
- Manage infant nutrition to ensure optimal growth and development and find alternative ways to feed infants who struggle to suckle.
Qualifications
- Board Certification in Pediatrics (required).
- Board Certification or Eligibility in Neonatal‑Perinatal Medicine (required).
- Ability to speak Spanish highly desired.
Benefits and Compensation
Additional compensation is available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours. Estimated total annual compensation package is $205,880 (board eligible) or $214,974 (board certified). Other benefits include 401(k) company contribution (3% vested immediately, +7% after one year), annual CME reimbursement, generous paid time off (vacation, sick, holiday, and CME days), top‑tier medical, prescription and dental coverage, life insurance and accidental death & dismemberment coverage up to $300,000 (at no cost), malpractice coverage, healthcare and dependent care FSAs, pre‑tax commuting contributions, and visa sponsorship considered.
