The business is backed by a major investment firm and continues to scale through both organic growth and multiple acquisitions. Purpose of Your Position: The Director of Revenue Accounting will be the primary owner of all revenue-related technical accounting, policy development, and month-end processes. This leader will guide the company’s interpretation and application of ASC 606, support modernization of systems and workflows, and help shape scalable revenue processes as the organization grows. The role will work closely with cross-functional partners and play a key part in harmonizing revenue practices across newly acquired businesses. Primary Responsibilities Oversee end-to-end revenue accounting activities, including technical assessments, documentation, and application across recurring, license-based, and services-related revenue streams. Maintain oversight of monthly and quarterly close tasks related to revenue, ensuring accuracy in subledger activity, reconciliations, and reporting outputs. Provide technical accounting guidance to internal teams on complex contract structures and revenue-related matters. Manage and enhance revenue-related modules within NetSuite, and ensure upstream data from CRM and operational tools is complete and reliable. Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and system enhancements tied to the evolving revenue model. Support diligence efforts for acquisitions, including contract review, risk identification, and harmonization of revenue methodologies. Integrate acquired entities into standardized revenue policies, processes, and system configurations. Mentor and manage a small team, including overseas resources, while partnering closely with Finance, Sales, Professional Services, Legal, and Integration counterparts. Serve as a primary contact point for external auditors on all revenue-related topics. Support transformation initiatives designed to scale revenue operations in line with the company’s multi-product, high-growth environment. Requirements CPA required 7+ years of progressive revenue accounting experience, including oversight or leadership responsibilities. Strong background in technology or software environments with complex revenue arrangements and ASC 606 application. Demonstrated expertise in technical revenue topics, including drafting memos and assessing multi-element arrangements. Hands‑on experience with NetSuite revenue modules; working knowledge of CRM integrations such as Salesforce preferred. Exposure to private‑equity environments, high‑growth settings, or acquisition‑driven companies is advantageous. Experience evaluating contracts during diligence and supporting post‑close integration of systems and processes. Strong communication, analytical, and cross‑functional partnering abilities. Ability to operate effectively in dynamic, evolving environments with shifting requirements.
