The Athletic Trainer Certified responsibilities...
Under the operational direction of the Coordinator of Sports Medicine Staffing, Coordinator of Sports Medicine Programing or his/her designee, and following the athletic training standing orders, the Certified Athletic Trainer will complete athletic training responsibilities for assigned school. The duties of the Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) include, but are not limited to, prevention of athletic injuries, recognition, and evaluation and immediate care of athletic injuries, rehabilitation and reconditioning of athletic injuries; professional development and responsibility; and health care administration. The ATC will serve as a liaison between physicians, coaches, athletes and parents. The ATC ensures that players participate only when physically able and that any physician instructions are understood and followed. The ATC will coordinate with the Athletic Director to ensure that the athletic training room and all required events will be covered. The above statement reflects the general duties considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the position as identified and shall not be considered as a detailed description of all the work requirements that may be inherent in the job.
To qualify you must.. ..
1. Certified by the Board of Certification (BOC) athletic trainer with bachelor’s of science degree in a related field. 2. NH & MA State licensed or license eligible athletic trainer. 3. CPR/AED certified. 4. Effective interpersonal skills to communicate both in person and in writing. 5. Decision-making skills. 6. Good general health and emotional stability. 7. Dependable, conscientiousness and sincere interest. 8. Ability to relate well to others in courteous, respectful and supportive manner. 9. Adequate physical strength to assist with resistive activities.
