A-Line Staffing is seeking an experienced Phlebotomist . Under general supervision and in accordance with established procedures, this role performs routine laboratory and clinical activities including patient intake, venipuncture, computer data entry, and related laboratory functions.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a high-volume outpatient setting, performing venipuncture on 30–60 patients per day, and skilled with straight needle draws. This position requires professionalism, accuracy, and strong patient interaction skills.

Location: Detroit, MI

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM (No weekends)


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform venipuncture and blood collection procedures in a high-volume outpatient setting

  • Receive and properly identify patients according to laboratory procedures

  • Enter patient and specimen data accurately into computer systems

  • Perform routine laboratory clinical functions as assigned

  • Ensure patient comfort and safety during blood draws

  • Follow established laboratory procedures, safety standards, and compliance guidelines

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment

  • Communicate effectively with patients, laboratory staff, and clinical teams


Required Qualifications

  • 6 months to 1 year of hands-on venipuncture experience required

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Valid, unrestricted Michigan Driver’s License

  • Must be insurable by an HFMG Insurance Carrier

  • Comfortable performing 30–60 blood draws per day

  • Experience using straight needles

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced outpatient laboratory environment


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous computer and data entry experience

  • Completion of a Medical Assistant or Certified Phlebotomy training program

  • Prior outpatient or hospital laboratory experience


Important Notes

  • Butterfly needles are NOT used at this location

  • No candidates with plasmapheresis background

  • Must be comfortable with large volume blood draws
