MATERIAL HANDLER II
Pay Rate: $18.00/hour + $0.55 shift differential
Environment: Temperature-controlled distribution center (refrigerated area)
Available Shifts:

1 position: 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM
-
1 position: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
POSITION SUMMARY
The Material Handler II is responsible for the safe, accurate loading, unloading, and movement of products within the distribution center. This role supports inbound, outbound, and inventory operations while maintaining compliance with safety, quality, and documentation standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Pallet / Case Picking

Process customer orders, including scanning barcodes, picking, labeling, and packing boxes

Pick, pack, and process orders using RF technology
-
Maintain work area in accordance with SOPs and work instructions
-
Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
-
Complete required RF device training and maintain appropriate system profiles
-
Verify accuracy and ensure proper shipment packaging
Pallet Build
-
Palletize completed orders, including scanning, retrieving, and placing products on pallets
-
Re-palletize products as needed for shipment
-
Perform dock manifest duties, including scanning pallets and operating shrink-wrap equipment
-
Transport pallets using material handling equipment (MHE) when required
-
Verify accuracy and ensure proper shipment packaging
Inbound / Outbound / Inventory Movement

Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments using the WMS
-
Ensure safe handling of pallets to prevent damage
-
Complete assigned duties according to department standards and procedures
-
Operate parcel manifest stations and complete transportation documentation as needed
-
Maintain work area per SOPs and work instructions
-
Complete RF device training and maintain required profiles
-
Follow GDP and all safety instructions
-
Maintain current status in required C2C training modules
-
Perform other duties as assigned
Material Handling Equipment
-
Operate MHE safely and report all damage or maintenance issues immediately
-
Maintain equipment cleanliness and orderliness
-
Maintain equipment certification at all times
Safety and Security
-
Perform all job duties safely and in compliance with safety requirements

Assist in maintaining warehouse security
-
Report all injuries, accidents, unsafe acts, hazards, or suspicious activity immediately
Quality
-
Understand and support organizational quality goals
Sanitation and Housekeeping

Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area
-
Follow sanitation and facility cleanliness guidelines
Hazmat Training
-
May receive Hazmat training, including general awareness, function-specific, security awareness, security plan, and safety training
Cross-Training
-
Cross-train in other warehouse roles and provide backup support as needed
JOB REQUIREMENTS xrczosw

High school diploma, GED, or 2 years of relevant experience required
-
Experience operating MHE, including Order Pickers, Reach Trucks, Counterbalance (slip and clamp), and Dock Stocker
-
Ability to obtain Forklift Certification per BD guidelines
-
Good verbal communication skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment

Ability to read and interpret distribution documents
-
Ability to work well with others and under minimal supervision

Ability to operate MHE and use Voice/RF scanners
-
Ability to work in a metrics-driven environment

Basic analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills

General distribution knowledge

Regular exposure to moving mechanical equipment
