A-Line Staffing is seeking an experienced Instrument Assembly & Test Specialist to support production assembly, system analysis, and instrument performance testing within a regulated manufacturing environment. This role serves as a subject matter expert in instrument functional performance and is responsible for assembly, testing, troubleshooting, optimization, and quality compliance.
The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, testing experience with moderately complex instruments, and the ability to analyze pass/fail data to identify defects and implement solutions. This position requires leadership capability, continuous improvement mindset, and adherence to GMP, safety, and quality standards.

Build, integrate, and understand full assembly processes and requirements for instruments in the production area

Perform functional and release testing on at least one moderately complex instrument

Analyze test data to determine pass/fail results and implement solutions for failures

Optimize system performance, including precision of movement and/or light systems

Identify defects and recommend design or process improvements

Read and interpret drawings, work instructions, and workmanship standards

Provide training and mentorship to associates on mechanical and testing activities
-
Process and disposition Quality Notifications (QNs)
-
Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Purchasing teams
-
Perform standard material handling for raw materials and sub-assemblies
-
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
-
Follow all GMP, safety, housekeeping, and quality policies and procedures
-
Support continuous improvement initiatives including Lean Manufacturing activities
-
Work overtime as required to meet business needs

Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
-
High School Diploma or GED with 6 years of manufacturing experience , OR
-
Associate’s Degree (AA) in a technical field with 2 years of manufacturing experience

Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment

Proven ability to support testing of moderately complex instruments

Strong leadership skills with ability to mentor and develop team members

Demonstrated accountability to results and performance improvement

Strong commitment to Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing principles

Fundamental knowledge of mechanical tools (torque drivers, gauges, bits, etc.)

Proficiency in reading drawings and interpreting dimensions and specifications
-
Ability to manage multiple production orders and shifting priorities

Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment

Understanding of and compliance with Quality procedures

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience supporting cross-functional manufacturing teams

Experience participating in Kaizen events, CI projects, or Lean initiatives

Advanced troubleshooting experience in mechanical, electrical, or test systems

Proficiency in English (reading, writing, charts, diagrams, and basic math)
