Medical Receptionist
The Medical Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations in a healthcare setting. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly, professional manner.
- Answer and direct phone calls as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update electronic health systems.
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including faxes and emails.
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes.
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure timely patient flow.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
- Adhere to HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Previous experience in a medical office or customer service role (preferred).
- Proficiency with scheduling software and electronic health records (EHR).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of medical terminology (a plus).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Boston, MA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
