The role focuses on implementing proactive maintenance strategies, reducing downtime, minimizing maintenance costs, and ensuring operational efficiency through diligent analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
Breakdown Analysis and Root Cause Identification
Lead and facilitate the completion of detailed Breakdown Analysis (BDA) for critical equipment failures.
Conduct thorough analysis of equipment breakdowns using Root Cause Analysis (RCA), 5 Whys, and Ishikawa diagrams.
Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurring failures.
Preventive Maintenance (PM) & CMMS Optimization
Develop, review, and improve PM programs and Predictive Maintenance (PDM) technologies such as vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis.
Build and refine the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for accurate asset data, optimized work orders, and effective reporting.
Leverage CMMS data to identify trends, root causes, and inform strategic decisions.
Reliability Strategy and Improvement
Apply reliability engineering principles including FMEA, RCM, and statistical analysis.
Monitor KPIs such as Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and develop strategies to meet targets.
Collaborate with operations, production, and engineering teams to integrate reliability best practices.
Develop and deliver training on reliability principles and preventive maintenance to staff.
Asset Management and Lifecycle Support
Participate in the specification, selection, and commissioning of new equipment.
Manage spare parts optimization strategies to balance availability and inventory costs.
Support capital projects with reliability input and adherence to engineering standards.

Proficiency in data analysis and statistical methods.
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Self‑motivated with a strong drive for continuous improvement.
Additional Ingredients
3‑5+ years of experience in a reliability, maintenance, or engineering role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Proven experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and other problem‑solving methodologies.
Demonstrated experience developing and optimizing Preventive and Predictive Maintenance programs.
Hands‑on experience with CMMS software (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo, Infor EAM, Upkeep).
Education / Certifications
A bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
Hands‑on experience with CMMS software (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo, Infor EAM, Upkeep).
Job Specific Requirements Position is Full‑time onsite in the Richmond, VA. Bakery. No relocation assistance is offered.

Work Schedule Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Salary and Benefits The base salary range is $95,100 to $130,790, depending on experience, skills, education, and location. The position is eligible for participation in a competitive bonus program.
