Ensure strict compliance with TERUSA Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies across all areas of responsibility, and verify that external third parties—including OM contractors, EPC firms, and consultants—consistently adhere to TERUSA HSE standards.

Provide leadership for HV substation and collection system electrical equipment reliability strategies and prepare project justifications to address plant reliability issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend asset life.

Offer subject matter expertise during emergencies involving critical equipment failures and oversee as well as authorize short‑term repair strategies to ensure safe return‑to‑service decisions.

Review and approve maintenance procedures/programs, work plans, and technical documentation.

Ensure adherence to NERC, IEEE, and local regulatory requirements.

Assist in substation upgrades, retrofits, and commissioning activities.

Evaluate equipment performance and recommend improvements or replacements.

Support the revision of ISO checklists, TSPs, and EPC switching plans, as well as energization, LOTO, commissioning plans, and SAT reports, providing assistance to external EPCs and subcontractors to facilitate timely and safe energization and commissioning of HV substations and PV/BESS/Wind plants.

Assess and provide guidance on compliance, testing, and pre‑commissioning requirements throughout installation and energization of electrical equipment, ensuring that all relevant documentation and drawings are updated appropriately.

Oversee and ensure HV contractors conduct RCFA for critical equipment failures at TERUSA operating plants. Apply reliability strategies to address recurring issues and enhance system reliability and availability.

Oversee execution of an electrical safety program in accordance with OSHA 1910 and NFPA 70E standards, encompassing arc‑flash hazard evaluations, a comprehensive five‑year arc‑flash management plan, and governance of electrical mechanical integrity.

Develop and lead technical aspects of the NERC regulatory compliance program related to Operations and Planning (O&P) and support Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Standards for TERUSA generation and transmission assets.

Collaborate with operating plants to oversee NERC‑related engineering initiatives and act as the principal point of contact for audits, spot checks, self‑certifications, RFIs, and NERC alerts.

Conduct compliance assessments, gap analyses, and simulated audits to identify vulnerabilities related to reliability compliance and provide support for mitigation initiatives.

Ensure contractors create Management of Change (MOC) for plant modifications, upgrades, and improvements in TERUSA operating plants and facilitate field engineering packages for implementation.

Review equipment configurations and protection & control settings and manage and monitor updates and revisions to protection equipment for accuracy and compliance.
