Ashtabula Regional Medical Center
The Security Officer at Ashtabula Regional Medical Center (ARMC) protects patients, visitors, and staff, and maintains a safe environment on site. The ideal candidate is alert, observant, service‑mindful, team‑oriented, courteous, and proactive.
Responsibilities
Monitor and secure all buildings and grounds.
Respond promptly to emergencies, providing assistance and protection.
Operate two‑way radios and video surveillance equipment.
Work with cleaning chemicals and equipment while maintaining safety.
Minimum Qualifications
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
High school diploma or GED. Valid Ohio Driver's License with no more than four points. Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. Effective verbal and written communication. Ability to operate two‑way radio and video surveillance equipment. Familiarity with a Windows computing environment preferred.
Required Length and Type of Experience
Minimum two years of experience in a security‑related field. Hospital or healthcare experience preferred.
Required Licensure or Certification
120‑hour Ohio Peace Officer Training Council certificate or comparable public service certification, preferred.
Required Physical and Environmental Demands
Extensive lifting, bending, walking, standing, and pushing 100% of the day.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Operate in temperature variances of 0 to 100°F.
Exposure to cleaning chemicals, steam, equipment, and sharp instruments.
