We are seeking an experienced
ServiceNow Architect
with deep expertise across
ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, and Discovery
to lead enterprise‑scale ServiceNow solution architecture and platform modernization initiatives. This role will drive end‑to‑end design, configuration strategy, integrations, and governance ensuring scalable, high‑performing solutions aligned to industry and platform best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the overall
ServiceNow platform architecture , ensuring scalable, secure, and reusable solutions.
Architect end‑to‑end designs for
ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, Discovery, and CSDM
implementations.
Design enterprise‑level
CMDB data models, class structures, relationships, and governance processes .
Define Discovery strategies, MID Server architecture, credentials management, schedules, patterns, and best practices.
Create and review technical designs including
Business Rules, Script Includes, Workflows, Flow Designer, Integration logic , and data models.
Ensure alignment with
ServiceNow architecture standards, data management guidelines,
and organizational governance.
ITSM / ITOM Enablement
Architect and optimize
Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge, Catalog
processes.
Lead implementations for
ITOM modules
including Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, Health, and CMDB Insights.
Develop service maps and drive application & infrastructure dependency modeling.
Ensure accurate integration of monitoring, alerting, orchestration, and asset lifecycle workflows.
Own CMDB roadmap, maturity model, and continuous improvement strategy.
Implement
IRE rules, reconciliation logic, normalization, duplicate CI handling, CMDB Health dashboards , and audits.
Establish enterprise processes for
CI lifecycle management , data quality, and compliance.
Integrations & Platform Engineering
Architect integrations between ServiceNow and external systems using
REST, SOAP, MID Servers, IntegrationHub spokes, event ingestion , and automation.
Provide guidance on
performance optimization, upgrade strategies, cloning, environment management
and security‑hardening.
Technical Leadership & Stakeholder Management
Serve as the primary technical authority for all ServiceNow initiatives.
Mentor developers, administrators, and technical teams; conduct design/code reviews.
Collaborate with business, operations, security, and engineering teams to define requirements and deliver roadmap items.
Present architectural decisions, solution options, and technical recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Governance & Best Practices
Establish platform standards, coding guidelines, naming conventions, and DevOps practices.
Ensure alignment with
CSDM , ITIL, architectural best practices, and ServiceNow recommendations.
Track platform capabilities, releases, upgrades, and new features to drive innovation and adoption.
Required Qualifications
8–12+ years of ServiceNow experience with at least 4+ years as a
Solution Architect / Lead Architect .
Deep knowledge of
ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, and Event Management .
Hands‑on expertise in
Discovery patterns, service mapping logic, CMDB domain separation, IRE, reconciliation, normalization .
Strong experience designing APIs, integrations, and complex workflows.
Proven experience in defining architecture for
enterprise‑scale ServiceNow environments .
ServiceNow CSA
CAD
CIS – ITSM / ITOM / Discovery / Service Mapping
CTA or Architect‑level certifications
(plus)
Preferred Skills
Experience with
ITAM, HAM/SAM, SecOps, CSM, HRSD , or other modules.
Knowledge of cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Experience with DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps), ATF, automated testing.
Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Soft Skills
