Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and outstanding individual to join our Biomarker group as a Postdoctoral Fellow. The role involves supporting the biomarker strategy for Ionis’s wholly owned pipeline, working with external collaborators and cross‑functional teams to analyze proteomic and EEG data, and confirming findings in validation cohorts.
Responsibilities
Design and deploy computational pipelines to process and analyze proteomics and EEG data.
Communicate project status, timelines, and analysis updates to team members.
Integrate findings from omics datasets to support Ionis programs.
Collaborate on additional datasets and contribute to related projects.
Requirements
PhD in computational biology or related field.
Strong background in bioinformatics with experience handling multimodal/omics data.
Experience in data wrangling, QC, normalization, and differential analysis using R, Python, or similar.
Familiarity with packages such as tidyverse, MSstats, DEP2, pandas, numpy, scikit‑learn, GSEA/fgsea, clusterProfiler.
Critical‑thinking, problem‑solving, and strong communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work collaboratively in fast‑paced teams.
Proven ability to be productive in an intense work environment.
Candidate must reside in San Diego or be willing to relocate (full‑time or hybrid).
Travel 0–10 %.
