About the role As a Lead I&C Systems Engineer you will help implement systems engineering processes on large Westinghouse projects. Although the applicant’s primary job focus will be on large projects, there will be some work related to small projects as needed. The main objective of the systems engineering process is to apply configuration management, requirements management, and verification and validation concepts across multiple systems in a consistent manner, while coordinating and leading technical design creation and changes across multi‑discipline groups.
You will report to the Supervisor, Systems Engineering & Requirement Management and be located at the Warrendale, PA facility on a hybrid basis.
Qualifications
BS in Electrical, Computer, or other Engineering degree.
Previous knowledge of overall design and operation of Pressurized Water Reactors (PWR) and systems is required.
A basic knowledge of statistics and data analysis is required.
Experience with various I&C systems required.
Ability to decompose and implement technical and process requirements from contracts, codes and standards, or other project inputs into I&C specific requirements.
Detailed understanding of configuration management and requirements management concepts.
Detailed understanding of verification and validation concepts.
Ability to evaluate analysis inputs and results to develop specific technical solutions for customers.
Familiarity with the concept of providing cost estimates for project scopes required.
Familiarity with Industry Codes and Standards preferred.
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $116,800 to $146,000 per year.
