Responsibilities
Preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects based on construction drawings and specifications.
Evaluating subcontractor proposals and making recommendations on their selection.
Utilizing your expertise in Timberline to manage and track estimates.
Developing and maintaining relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
Reviewing design options and recommending best solutions based on cost, quality, and availability of materials.
Participating in bid reviews and presentations to ensure accuracy and completeness of bids.
Collaborating with project managers and other team members to resolve any discrepancies between estimated and actual costs.
Keeping abreast of industry trends and advancements in technology to continuously improve the estimating process.
Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, with a focus on commercial and healthcare projects.
Proficiency in Timberline or similar estimating software.
Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills to accurately estimate costs.
Strong understanding of the bidding process and ability to prepare successful bids.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively deal with subcontractors, suppliers, and team members.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising on accuracy and quality of work.
A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field would be an advantage.
