Senior Compensation Consultant – Truist Financial Corporation

Lead and shape the compensation strategy for a complex organization, ensuring equity, compliance, and alignment with business objectives. This is an in‑office executive role with a full‑time schedule.

Responsibilities

Provide advice and creative solutions for the most complex compensation issues.

Build strong partnerships across the organization to effectively influence compensation‑related decisions in alignment with Truist’s compensation strategy.

Analyze all compensation‑related issues within the assigned scope, including market pricing, organization design, and short‑term incentive programs, ensuring consistency and equity across the enterprise.

Partner with leadership to develop and structure market‑competitive, equitable, and compliant compensation programs that support business needs and strategy.

Analyze complex, large‑scale, long‑term compensation needs to support business strategy and operational challenges.

Collaborate and consult with peers, partners, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.

Communicate, interpret, and apply compensation policies, procedures, and regulations to make decisions that support initiatives and deliverables.

Lead complex projects, overseeing resources, mitigating risk, and ensuring accountability through implementation and communication.

Mentor and coach less‑experienced compensation professionals on the team.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

At least 8 years of specialized or broad experience in Compensation or related discipline (Human Resources, Finance, etc.).

Proven ability to lead complex projects, exercise judgment, and solve technical, operational, and organizational.

Demonstrated ability to partner with business units to understand needs and develop suitable compensation/incentive programs.

Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience as a compensation professional in a complex organization.

Experience working in the financial services industry.

Professional certification in HR related discipline (PHR, SPHR, CCP, etc.).

Experience with HRIS systems and market‑data tools.
