Job Summary We are looking for an experienced API Integration Engineer to design, develop and maintain scalable API integration solutions. You will build systems that connect workflows, automate processes, and integrate AI tools within our platforms. You must be legally authorized to work in the United States; employment eligibility will be verified through E‑Verify and a background check is required.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable API integration code.
Implement and enforce API security protocols including authentication, authorization, and data encryption.
Translate business requirements into technical documentation and collaborate with team members.
Integrate AI tools and frameworks within API services.
Create comprehensive API documentation – endpoints, data models, usage guidelines.
Configure and reconfigure business systems using technical aptitude.
Debug and resolve technical issues, ensuring timely resolution.
Provide second‑level technical support for system issues, coordinating with end users, technology teams, and vendors.
Support current IT standards and company information policies.
Continuously pursue professional development to stay updated on industry technologies.
Communicate effectively with senior leadership regarding non‑routine problems.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role building system integrations.
Proven experience designing, developing, and deploying production APIs.
Strong understanding of API architectural styles, web services, and knowledge of AI or AI model building a plus.
Excellent troubleshooting and debugging abilities.
Quickly absorbs new ideas and concepts, both written and verbal.
Drive to deliver excellence from start to finish.
Strong problem‑solving, multitasking, and customer‑oriented attitude.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience thriving in a high‑growth or fast‑paced environment.
Knowledge of Transportation Management Systems, ERP, HRIS, and other central business applications.
Industry knowledge of intermodal, drayage, brokerage, and warehousing.
