Director, Corporate EHS As the Director, Corporate EHS, you will drive Lennox’s global efforts for safety, ergonomics, environmental, sustainability, remediation, and compliance. The position is responsible for EHS across Lennox, directly leading a team of 8 EHS professionals and indirectly leading EHS teams across our operations. The position will interact with the Board of Directors, CEO, executive team, and operations leaders. Candidates must have experience in managing safety, ergonomics, environmental, sustainability programs and active employee engagement programs in a multi-site manufacturing, distribution, and service company. The successful candidate will be a visible and influential safety leader who instills a culture of responsibility, ensuring leaders at every level take ownership of safety performance. This role requires the ability to set clear expectations, hold teams accountable to high standards, and foster a workplace where responsibility for safety and sustainability is shared, consistent, and measurable. This role reports into the EVP, Chief Human Resources Officer.
Key Responsibilities
Promote a shared vision for EHS Excellence
Direct, manage and inspire a team of talented EHS leads and external consultants
Develop, support, lead, and execute strategies to reduce:
Workplace safety and ergonomic injury risks
Environmental emissions and impacts
Develop and implement plans to achieve environmental sustainability goals for energy use, greenhouse gas emissions, solid waste, recyclables, & water stewardship
Establish effective partnerships with business unit operations teams, collaborating cross-functionally, to ensure success and results attainment
Develop and execute an overall program management and change management strategy
Develop and execute a strategy to centralize disparate fields of data to streamline reporting efforts
Oversee administration of audits of the company’s facilities and compliance with implementation of the audit findings
Prioritize and continually improve the company’s EHS compliance strategies and management systems
Identify and monitor safety and environmental regulatory changes that could affect the company’s operations and implement appropriate engagement and/or mitigation strategies
Maintain and improve policies, guidelines, and operational procedures related to EHS
Teach and mentor other EHS professionals
Appreciation for the need to recognize performance contributions and celebrate accomplishments
Implement programs/processes to ensure compliance with domestic & international EHS legislation
Manage remediation sites: strategy, budget, and assessments
Experience and Qualifications
Minimum of 15 years of professional experience, with at least five years developing and executing corporate-wide EHS programs
Demonstrated career progression that includes or leads to corporate function responsibility
Manufacturing industry knowledge and experience
Proven track record managing a team
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent analytical, project management, presentation, and influencing skills
Demonstrated project management experience in a corporate function
Extensive knowledge of applicable US federal and state EHS regulations
Working knowledge of Mexican and Canadian environmental regulatory programs (preferred)
Working knowledge of safety and environmental compliance and sustainability data aggregation, sustainability reporting, and verification
Experience working with consultants and managing financial reserves to resolve legacy soil and groundwater remediation issues
Willingness to travel up to 25%

Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, EHS, or related field is required. An advanced degree with associated credentials is preferred (PE, CSP, etc.).
Other Work Requirements This is an on-site leadership role based in Richardson, TX, with occasional travel to other Lennox locations.
