Since 1973, Jubilee has worked to provide high quality affordable housing and holistic support to those experiencing persistent economic hardship in the Adams Morgan and Columbia Heights neighborhoods of Washington D.C. Jubilee operates more than a dozen properties totaling more than 500 homes and has an active development pipeline of several hundred new affordable housing units in progress, including an integration of a first in kind aquaponics farm. Jubilee also offers robust programming for residents and community members as they pursue life goals.
Position Description The Financial Empowerment Coordinator supports Jubilee’s 2026 Financial Stability & Housing Security strategic cycle by helping residents strengthen financial resilience and prevent housing loss. This part‑time role (20 hours/week) leads the delivery of resident‑centered financial literacy programming, supports residents who are delinquent in rent through individualized eviction‑prevention planning, and coordinates referrals to pro‑bono Certified Financial Planners. The Coordinator also tracks, monitors, and reports grant outcomes connected to financial empowerment and housing stability. In addition, this position oversees the creation and implementation of needs‑based financial health programming and initiatives.
Specific Duties Financial Literacy & Coaching
Coordinate and facilitate financial literacy workshops aligned with Jubilee’s 2026 Financial Stability goals.
Establish and support financial literacy cohorts, including tracking attendance, participation, and graduation outcomes.
Provide one‑on‑one financial coaching sessions for residents who are delinquent in rent.
Develop individualized eviction‑prevention plans with residents, which may include payment plan agreements and referrals for additional resources.
Maintain relationships with pro‑bono Certified Financial Planners and manage the referral process.
Eviction Prevention Program Oversight
Monitor resident progress in the eviction prevention program.
Document resident participation, follow‑up actions, and outcomes.
Collaborate with Resident Services Coordinators and Property Management to ensure alignment of goals and communication.
Grant Tracking & Reporting
Track all grant‑related activities connected to financial empowerment programming.
Collect and analyze program data to report key outputs and outcomes.
Prepare grant reports in collaboration with the Director of Resident Services.
Assist in identifying emerging needs and opportunities for additional funding.
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience, experience in financial literacy education, community development, or related fields.
Familiarity with eviction prevention strategies and housing stability best practices preferred.
Strong communication and facilitation skills.
Ability to track, analyze, and report program outcomes.

Work Schedule & Employment Details
Part‑time position at 0.5 FTE.
Evenings and weekends primarily; onsite.
Reports to the Director of Resident Services.
