Dental Assistant / Registered Dental Assistant

Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant / Registered Dental Assistant and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care. In this position, you will assist our experienced dentists with chair-side procedures, ensuring a comfortable and positive experience for our patients. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient operatory environment, supporting the overall success of the dental practice.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform support chair-side procedures under the supervision of licensed dentists, following all safety and procedural protocols.
2. Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment to ensure a clean and safe operatory for each patient.
3. Assist with patient preparation, including recording patient histories and taking x-rays within scope of licensure.
4. Provide oral health education and guidance to patients and their caregivers to promote good dental hygiene practices.
5. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the treatment area to adhere to health and safety standards.
6. Manage appointment flow and ensure smooth patient transitions throughout their visit.

Qualifications:

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience / Training: Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.

Licenses & Certifications:

• Certification from an accredited dental assisting program.
• Current state dental assistant license.
• Evidence of satisfactory completion of a board-approved course in coronal polishing.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Sealant certification.
• Experience in providing oral health education to patients and caregivers.
