Responsibilities
Managing the delivery of key assignments and defined business areas, providing strategic direction and monitoring delivery aligned with overall vision and objectives.
Supporting the long‑term success of planning performance for specified engines/sectors/hubs and contributing to the broader company goals.
Working effectively with stakeholders, clients, contractors and subcontractors daily.
Implementing project planning and scheduling strategies, per the client’s plans and procedures.
Creating and evaluating master schedules using Primavera P6 for mega projects.
Creating a level 5 commissioning, validation and qualification schedule for the client.
Performing probabilistic analysis on integrated schedules and contractor schedules.
Preparing and updating progress reports required by the client, including the integrated planning/scheduling contribution to the monthly project report and specific reports/presentations.
Ensuring that schedule related data from vendors, suppliers, engineering and construction contractors of actual projects is provided as feedback into the planning and scheduling systems.
Actively monitoring and communicating any possible project issues that could delay the schedule.
Conducting required project schedule analysis, critical path analysis and schedule risk analysis for the project as a whole, linking analysis deviations from the baseline in the project master schedule highlighting bottlenecks/delays and proposing corrective actions and highlighting the overall schedule impact of any variance/change order.
Working closely with various disciplines in project teams to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the schedules produced without compromising your independence as a scheduler so you are able to advise project management on issues requiring judgment.
Qualifications
Degree in construction management, engineering, or another related field (MS, MBA preferred).
Professional membership, i.e., AACEi/PMI, or equivalent professional of personal development.
Excellent communication (written, verbal and presentation) skills, along with the ability to ensure service delivery and provide meaningful/actionable insights.
Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience working in a scheduling role in the construction industry.
Experience working in a planning and scheduling position for engineering, procurement, and construction projects is essential.
Large construction in life sciences and/or manufacturing experience, including commissioning and validation activities is desirable.
Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications and construction contracting.
Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
Ability to review and understand engineering, procurement and construction schedule logic.
Capable of producing logic driven schedules from limited project information and conceptual schedule from initiation through to closeout; identify major phases thorough that timeline and be able to determine and discuss dependencies.
Knowledge of system start‑up sequences and major dependencies.
Skilled in Primavera (P6) to create master schedules with key milestones; create detailed commissioning, validation and qualification schedules; resource loading of the schedules and producing management overview of over and underutilization effectively; be able to produce high level and 1, 3, 6 months look‑ahead from P6 for reporting; identify and trending movement to key float paths and baselines.
Compensation Estimated salary for this position is $125,000. Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non‑discriminatory factors such as experience, skills and qualifications.
