About the Role Bohler’s Warrenton (or Richmond/Herndon), VA office is seeking an Entry Level Civil Engineer (Construction Administration) who thrives on problem-solving in the field and ensuring that great designs become reality. In this role, you’ll serve as a key liaison between contractors and design teams, coordinating communication, reviewing submittals, and providing on‑site support throughout the construction process. You’ll gain hands‑on experience in every phase of land development while learning from experienced engineers who are invested in your growth and professional development.

What You’ll Do

Provide construction‑related support to design teams, contractors, and clients

Serve as the point of contact for contractors and coordinate communication with design teams

Review and respond to RFIs

Conduct shop drawing and submittal reviews

Attend pre‑construction and progress meetings

Perform site visits and observations

Coordinate utilities and permits

Prepare punch lists and assist in project closeout

Use AutoCAD Civil 3D and other tools to support design documentation and revisions

Conduct SWPPP inspections and prepare required reports

Perform other duties as assigned while maintaining compliance with all Bohler policies and standards

What You’ll Bring

High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred

0–1+ years of construction administration, land development, or civil design experience

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects

Problem‑solving mindset grounded in sound professional judgment, creativity, and innovation

Initiative and teamwork orientation with a focus on collaboration and accountability

Ability to effectively communicate with contractors, reviewing agencies, and team members

Preferred Qualifications

NYS 4 Hour Erosion and Sediment control inspection course

OSHA 10 Hour

Valid Driver’s License and own Transportation
