Linux Systems Administrator II

Job Description Provide operational support for 600 Windows Servers (Windows Server 2016 and newer) and 120 SUSE Linux servers (SLES 12 and SLES 15). Manage VMware vCenter (v7+) and 40+ ESXi hosts, administer Omnissa Horizon VDI pools and Remote Desktop Services (RDS). Handle Tier 3 escalations, perform root‑cause analysis and service restoration, develop operating‑system procedures, manage Dell EMC Unity storage arrays, collaborate across teams, and create automation scripts.
Responsibilities
Patch, monitor performance, and ensure availability for Windows and Linux servers.
Upgrade and maintain VMware vCenter and ESXi hosts.
Administer Omnissa Horizon VDI pools and RDS.
Resolve Tier 3 escalations and complex incidents.
Conduct root‑cause analysis and service restoration.
Develop and maintain SOPs for system tasks.
Manage Dell EMC Unity storage arrays.
Collaborate with development, security, and project teams.
Create automation scripts and processes.
Qualifications
5‑7+ years as a System Administrator with deep expertise in Windows Server 2016 or newer.
5+ years managing and troubleshooting Linux environments, specifically SUSE Linux (SLES 12/15) at scale.
Hands‑on experience with VMware environments and storage arrays (vCenter, ESXi, Dell EMC Unity).
Strong knowledge of Microsoft enterprise technologies (Active Directory, GPO, DHCP, DNS, DFS, Print Services, File Shares).
Proficient in advanced PowerShell automation scripting.
Experience administering Omnissa/VMware Horizon VDI.
Familiarity with Cisco UCS hardware and SAN storage solutions.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
Pay and Benefits Salary range: $110,000.00 – $123,000.00 per year. Benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, flexible work arrangements, and career development programs.
