Operating Engineer Develop your engineering career at JLL!
The Operating Engineer supports operation, inspection, and maintenance processes to mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems. This position requires the Operating Engineer to be on‑site.
Shift: Tuesday through Friday 10am to 6pm, and Saturday 5am to 1pm, with Sunday and Monday off.
Estimated total compensation $48-49.70/hour
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Complete assigned tasks that include painting, pressure washing, maintaining lighting system bulbs/ballasts (as allowed by licensing requirements), plumbing, HVAC systems, water treatment, locksmith work, and general maintenance.
Maintain work order system (CMMS) daily and complete tenant service requests.
Perform preventive maintenance and inspection tasks.
Support on‑call or emergency response situations (if applicable).
Troubleshoot building systems, including electrical, DDC, and pneumatic controls.
Comply with all safety procedures.
Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs.
Other projects and tasks to be assigned.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
3+ years of related work experience, especially in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or carpentry.
Trade school education, union training, military service, or college is desirable.
Universal CFC EPA certification or interest in achieving within first year (with JLL assistance).
Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams).
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall.
Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift, and/or drive.
Strong customer service skills.
