Registered Nurse (RN)- Pre Admission Testing-Part Time

Chicago, IL (Lakeview Neighborhood)
Employment Type:
Part time; 2–10 days a week starting at 8 AM
Base Pay Range:
$37.50/hr – $56.25/hr
Job Responsibilities The Registered Nurse will be responsible for ensuring patients are ready for planned surgery by obtaining patient’s medical history and medications, providing education about surgery and anesthesia, and ensuring pre-surgical testing is complete. The role includes optimizing patients prior to the day of surgery through clinic visits and preadmission phone calls.
We’re Looking For
Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
Registered Nurse license issued by the state of Illinois
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association and ACLS
Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, PACU or ICU preferred
What You’ll Do
Play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
Use evidence‑based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and strong communication skills while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
