Job Summary Provides temporary nursing facility leadership and support. Administers the nursing program in a long‑term care facility to maintain standards of resident care, optimize geriatric processes, and improve quality and efficiency. Oversees nursing personnel quality, advises medical staff, and ensures regulatory compliance. Requires frequent travel and coordination across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

Administer nursing program and maintain resident care standards.

Optimize geriatric care processes and improve quality and efficiency.

Provide nursing leadership, advise medical staff, department heads, and administrators.

Ensure compliance with regulations and organizational standards.

Schedule staff, conduct performance reviews, and support staffing needs.

Assist in marketing activities, community events, and media outreach.

Monitor day‑to‑day operations, including quality of care, program management, environmental safety, and budgeting.

Coordinate clinical, operational, and managerial activities to meet department objectives.

Lead development and execution of clinical programs, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years nursing experience.

Unencumbered RN license in the state of practice (or multistate licensure via NLC).

Graduate from an accredited nursing program preferred (e.g., CCNE, ACEN, NLN CNEA).

Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred; if not held, a continuous educational plan may be considered for rural facilities.

Knowledge of nursing practice act and standards of nursing care.

Experience with long‑term care, assisted living, or hospice settings.

Strong administrative and management skills.

Proficiency in obtaining and maintaining department‑specific competencies and certifications.
