Position: New Graduate RN Residency Department: Surgical Step Down (IMCU) Schedule: 36 Hours, Day/Night Program start: March 2026
The New Graduate Nurse Residency Program assists newly licensed nurses in transitioning to practice. After four months of training, residents will assume a role on a Step Down unit with a two‑year commitment. Residents will perform nursing assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and coordination of care, and will be accountable for clinical, educational, quality and fiscal patient care outcomes. The role reports to the Unit Nurse Director.
Requirements:
Graduated from nursing school within the last 12 months before hire date.
Active BLS/CPR certification for Healthcare Providers.
Flu vaccination required prior to start.
Registered Nurse licensure in the state of MA in good standing preferred prior to start date.

Compensation Range $38.05 – $75.33 per hour. The range is an estimate based on minimum qualifications; base pay is determined by education, experience, and licensure/certifications. Total compensation includes benefits, contract increases, flexible spending accounts, 403(b) savings matches, earned time cash out, paid time off, career advancement opportunities, and resources to support employee and family wellbeing.
