in Civil Engineering or Construction Management,

1+ year
of heavy civil/heavy highway construction experience

Job Description
Support heavy highway projects as a Field Engineer (bridges/roadways/IDOT‑style work)
Work daily with Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, and crews
Coordinate material deliveries and ensure proper
certifications
per contract requirements
Maintain daily field documentation (reports, schedules, photos, tracking)
Monitor subcontractor progress and support schedule executionHelp manage and balance
concrete deliveries and pours
Assist with closeout tasks, quantities, and job cost reporting
Work outdoors year‑round; occasional second shift during phase changes
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in
Civil Engineering
or
Construction Management
from a
U.S. university
0–5 years of experience (field/engineering internships/co‑ops count for entry level)
Exposure to heavy highway / heavy civil construction is strongly preferred
OSHA 10 or 30 preferred
Comfortable working on active jobsites and collaborating with field crews
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Bluebeam familiarity is a plus
Valid drivers license and willingness to travel locally to job sites
