The Opportunity As the Product Application Engineer you will report to the Product Line Director and be responsible for providing technical support and expertise to our clients. You will ensure the effective application and integration of JBT Marel's products and solutions, applying strong engineering principles and excellent problem‑solving skills within the food processing industry.
Responsibilities
Communicate the value and benefits of JBT Marel products to customers and sales teams effectively.
Translate customer requirements into precise product specifications and solutions.
Develop and maintain in‑depth technical knowledge of JBT Marel products and their integration with other product lines.
Provide technical support to sales teams, including conducting product demonstrations and training sessions.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure customer expectations are met regarding product specifications and project timeliness.
Coordinate and support design, design changes, specifications and drawing releases, procurement, inventory, cost control and startup activities for all assigned product lines.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Engineering Degree or related discipline (e.g., marketing, business) is required.
5+ years’ experience in capital equipment sales or account management.
Experience in food processing or industrial goods manufacturing.
Remote work is possible, but candidates must reside in the California Central Valley or Inland Empire region of Southern California. Up to 20% travel may be required.
The estimated annual salary range for this role is $85,000–$100,000+ with a 5% year‑end incentive. Salaries will vary by location, qualifications, and prior experience.
