Job Description ACES is seeking a data analyst with strong experience in Qlik Sense to support the DoW CIO. This is a hybrid work that requires an

ACTIVE TS/SCI CLEARANCE

in support of a 5‑year contract that started August 2024. On‑site work is at the Mark Center in Alexandria, VA. This role requires expertise in developing dashboards, performing advanced analytics, and managing data workflows to deliver actionable insights for senior leaders. The analyst will leverage the government’s

ADVANA

platform for dashboarding (Qlik Sense) and ETL (Databricks), as well as Python scripting on the Databricks platform in ADVANA. Email resume to

Qualifications

Clearance :

Active TS/SCI

Education/Experience : Bachelor’s degree and 5 years’ experience in a field related to tasking

Technical : Proficient building dashboards in Qlik Sense and Power BI. Proficient in Python scripting required for the Databricks platform in ADVANA. Experience with data storage, data management and data analytics/trend analysis. 5+ years of experience in the area of data analytics. Experience with DoD SATCOM and Tactical Comm data a plus. Knowledge and experience creating data visualizations and dashboards.

Responsibilities

Conduct advanced data analysis across large, complex datasets to identify operational trends, performance patterns, and actionable insights that directly inform DoW CIO priorities.

Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations in

Qlik Sense

and occasionally

Power BI , ensuring outputs are intuitive, scalable, and aligned to senior leader requirements.

Develop and execute robust ETL workflows using

ADVANA tools (Databricks)

that requires Python scripting to ingest, transform, and validate data from DoW365 and various other DoW systems.

Collaborate with Service and Agency stakeholders, program offices, and SMEs to gather requirements, define key performance indicators (KPIs), and establish reporting frameworks.

Document datasets, data flows, business rules, and reporting requirements to support knowledge continuity, transparency, and audit readiness.

Establish and enforce data quality measures by embedding validation checks, reconciliation processes, and error‑handling mechanisms into ingestion pipelines.

Develop and maintain

data dictionaries, metadata repositories, and lineage documentation

to ensure consistency and adherence to DoW data governance standards.

Ensure all analytics and dashboards comply with

DoW cybersecurity, privacy, and classification requirements , safeguarding sensitive and mission‑critical data.

Provide

ad hoc analysis, reports, and visualizations

in response to emerging leadership requests, supporting strategic planning, resource allocation, and policy development.

Continuously monitor dashboard performance, optimize queries, and refresh reporting processes to ensure timeliness and accuracy of CIO‑level decision data.

Support enterprise‑wide modernization by participating in cross‑functional initiatives, pilot projects, and working groups focused on data integration, cloud adoption, and advanced analytics.

Deliver

training, guidance, and knowledge transfer

to internal teams and end users, enabling effective adoption of data tools, dashboards, and methodologies.

Recommend and implement improvements to

data collection methods, analytical techniques, and reporting mechanisms

that enhance decision‑making and reduce cycle times.
