Auria is looking to hire a Senior Release Engineer to join our amazing team to work on an Agile Development Team developing web-based microservices for command and control of space operations deployed in a containerized environment. This role is HYBRID in Colorado Springs, CO OR Dayton, OH OR Herndon, VA.
What you can expect to do:
Plan, coordinate, and execute monthly release cycles for the R2C2 program
Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for mission applications
Automate build, test, and deployment processes across secure environments
Partner with Development, QA, and Operations teams to ensure release readiness
Monitor and troubleshoot release issues to minimize downtime and risk
Document release processes and provide guidance to engineering teams
What the team requires:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
5+ years of experience in release engineering, DevOps, or build/release management
Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to work in secure, mission-critical environments supporting defense contracts
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
What the team prefers:
Current U.S. Government TOP SECRET security clearance (required U.S. Citizenship)
Experience with software development, test automation, and system automation that supports the development of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Configuration as Code (CaC), and Security as Code (SaC)
Expertise with a modern software factory's CI/CD processes, tools, and technologies. This includes knowledge of technologies such as GitLab, Ansible, Terraform, Nexus, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Knowledge of secure software development methodologies and implementing full-stack infrastructure with a Security First mindset
Knowledge of security standards such as NIST 800-171 and STIG Compliance
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum team using tools to assist system development, such as Jira and Confluence, is highly desirable
Pay transparency: The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level. $170,000 - $195,000.
