Superior Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing, Inc. is a regional skilled trade service provider specializing in commercial new construction, tenant improvements, and remodels. We are seeking an experienced Commercial Electrical Estimating Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will combine proven leadership in estimating with a strong background as a journeyman electrician. This position is responsible for managing the full estimating process for a range of commercial electrical projects while overseeing a team of estimators, ensuring accuracy and efficiency, and collaborating closely with project management to deliver competitive, timely, and profitable bids.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of the electrical estimating process for projects of varying scope and complexity

Lead, mentor, and support a team of electrical estimators

Review and interpret project drawings, specifications, and other documents to develop detailed and accurate estimates

Coordinate with project managers to ensure estimates align with project goals, timelines, and budgets

Review, evaluate, and approve change orders and revisions

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, engineers, and contractors

Participate in project meetings and provide input during preconstruction and planning phases

Continuously evaluate and refine estimating procedures to improve accuracy, efficiency, and competitiveness

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of recent experience managing electrical estimating operations

Prior electrical journeyman experience with solid understanding of commercial construction practices

Ability to interpret plumbing/HVAC, architectural, civil, and structural plans relevant to electrical installations

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, SureCount, Autodesk, Intellibid, and/or EBM preferred

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills

Excellent communication and leadership abilities

Salary: $85K to $125,000 per year (DOE).
