Base pay range $55,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr

The Role Porter Novelli seeks an
Account Executive (AE)
OR
Senior Account Executive (SAE)
to support communications programs for leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. You will play a hands‑on role in helping to execute thoughtful, high‑impact campaigns. You’ll work closely with senior team members and integrated partners to keep projects on track, contribute to content development, and help bring client initiatives to life with precision and enthusiasm. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with leading pharmaceutical brands, drive meaningful communications initiatives, and contribute to a purpose‑driven team. Experience or interest in oncology is a plus.
What You Will Be Doing
Support the development and execution of public relations plans:
Assist in bringing strategic ideas to life by contributing to PR programs that align with client goals and reflect key industry trends.
Help translate scientific and regulatory milestones:
Contribute to developing internal and external communication materials for data milestones and regulatory approvals that resonate with audiences, including media, healthcare professionals, and patient communities.
Draft and polish high‑quality communications materials:
Support content creation, including press releases, media materials, social media posts, and sponsored content, with close attention to accuracy, consistency, and brand alignment.
Support media outreach and monitoring:
Help research media targets, develop media lists, draft outreach materials, and monitor relevant coverage and opportunities.
Collaborate with integrated teams:
Partner with colleagues across digital, paid, media, and analytics functions to support the development of integrated campaign elements.
Track trends and news developments:
Conduct media monitoring and background research to inform strategy, messaging, and client counsel.
Keep projects moving smoothly:
Help manage timelines, organize files, and ensure tasks stay on track, contributing to the smooth execution of team initiatives.
Pitch in where needed:
Be ready to support teammates with coordination, documentation, and execution across various projects and deliverables.
The Experience That Will Contribute To Your Success
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, English, or a related field.
1-3 years of professional experience in public relations, communications, or marketing; agency experience and exposure to large, integrated programs preferred.
Health communications experience preferred; familiarity with pharmaceutical, biotech, or health communications is a plus.
Familiarity with Veeva and preparing documents for MLR reviews is a strong advantage.
Strong writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling disease state awareness materials, social media copy, media materials and other client assets.
Understand digital and social media strategies and their role in communications campaigns.
Help drive projects forward and support day‑to‑day team operations, including meeting preparation, client follow‑ups and other project management coordination activities.
Ability to manage projects and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
A team‑oriented, proactive mindset, with a willingness to contribute beyond defined responsibilities.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $55,000 – $67,000 for an Account Executive role, and $70,000 – $80,000 for a Senior Account Executive. Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job‑related qualifications, and geography.
