Grecian Delight | Kronos Foods Corp is seeking an experienced 1st shift SQF Practitioner for our Glendale Heights, IL location. We are looking for someone who can develop, implement, and maintain our SQF System and drive food safety initiatives. What you are going to be doing… You will interface with customers and 3 rd party auditors handling, managing and facilitating information in support of the programs and SQF systems. Manage and conduct comprehensive annual HACCP and SQF reassessments including program review and functional audits of HACCP, SQF programs, and all supporting pre-requisite programs such as GMPs, USDA-SSOPs, Allergen Control, Receiving and Shipping Inspection, Sanitation etc. Develop, manage, train at least annually and as needed, and execute SQF plans to achieve and maintain SQF Certification and meet all requirements related to quality and food safety programs. Develop, manage and collaborate with internal stakeholders for internal audit programs and external food safety audits. Assist in the investigation of customer quality complaints, develop action plans to mitigate future issues, and communicate findings to appropriate internal stakeholders. Keep the plant updated on all HACCP, regulatory and SQF related notices and directives. Lead/participate in projects or activities that modify or improve quality, food safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Collaborate cross-functionally with SQF & quality program management, on projects, inspection coordination and auditing/testing requirements and maintain documentation to support SQF systems. Collaborate with Quality Systems manager in verifying the programs are executed as intended. Super‑user for document management systems such as Redzone, FoodLogiq, IFS, etc. Collaborate with internal stakeholders for managing risk assessments and implementing process controls for compliance with SQF, USDA & FDA. Ensure the highest level of commitment to HACCP, GMPs, and customer expectations. Coordinate regular SQF meetings with senior management and internal stakeholder teams. Provide documented monthly updates to senior management on SQF system performance, audit outcomes, and food safety risks. What you need to have… B.S. degree in Food Science, Microbiology/Biology, Chemistry, Public Health Studies, or technical disciplines. 3+ years related experience in a food manufacturing environment. HACCP and SQF Practitioner Certification required. Experienced in developing training and implementing quality and food safety initiatives including SQF, HACCP, and Sanitation procedures. Experience with regulatory agencies such as FDA, HACCP, and USDA. Why work for us...
