Subject Matter Expert
to join our team at
Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD
to support our
C5ISR Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Division
contract.
Base Pay Range $150,000.00/yr - $175,000.00/yr
Location Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD
Duties
Work independently under general guidelines or objectives.
Perform in all complex phases of hardware design, development, integration, and analysis of hardware projects.
Must have capability to distinguish between hardware and software problems in multi-vendor systems.
Perform installation, test, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair for communications equipment, electronics equipment, large computers, minicomputers, or microprocessors, including buses for those in a networked environment.
Install, operate, troubleshoot communications-electronics equipment, power distribution systems, signal distribution systems and RF distribution systems for complex systems such as military shelters, aircraft, ground vehicles, etc., as may be applicable.
Work from, and assist in the development of, engineering drawings.
Assist with the management of a single systems acquisition program/project or major functional area.
Establish objectives and requirements and monitor outside resources.
Assist with the development of budgets, program/project standards and schedules.
Coordinate, review and supervise work of assigned staff.
Review/oversee the preparation of all related documentation.
Conduct/Participate in program reviews, working groups, etc.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience
Detail-oriented with technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
Possesses advanced technical and managerial skills; fully knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of a program or functional area. Applicable functional areas include systems engineering, network engineering, acquisition management, business process reengineering, specialty engineering (e.g., communications, systems safety, quality assurance, test and evaluation, human factors, reliability and maintainability, systems security etc.), organizational planning, financial management, acquisition logistics, configuration and data information systems, and support or program management.
Fully knowledgeable of all aspects of the program or programs under his/her management.
Required Clearance
ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: Secret
Qualifications
High School diploma/GED required.
At least twenty (20) years of experience or military experience E7 and up required.
Travel Approximately 15 % travel is expected for this position. Travel may include continental United States and outside continental United States locations.
Work Environment This position may be performed in a variety of locations, including but not limited to, commercial and/or government offices, test and integration labs, government facilities and depots, and test & evaluation and proving grounds.
Physical Demands
Be independently mobile.
Communicate effectively with co‑workers and customers.
Withstand prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and computer use.
Climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.
Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as glasses/goggles (eyes), ear plugs/muffs (hearing), hard hats, and breathing respirators/masks.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full‑time position, Monday through Friday. Flexibility around core hours. Travel may occur outside of normal core hours.
