Duty Manager Overview As a Duty Manager you will inspire and lead a ramp team to unload, load, and service aircraft efficiently, ensuring safety, punctuality, and customer satisfaction. Ideal candidates have at least three years of ramp experience and progressive aviation management experience.
Responsibilities
Supervise ramp team members during aircraft unloading, loading, and servicing.
Create and manage schedules to ensure adequate staffing for all ramp operations.
Assist recruiting and provide on‑job training and professional development.
Act as the point of contact for customers and management to minimize or eliminate delays.
Observe and enforce all AGI and airline safety regulations and company policies.
Ensure all GSE maintenance procedures are assigned and completed on each shift.
Read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material labels, loading manifests, and log flight information for billing.
Actively search for and report potential business opportunities to station management.
Assist with all ramp duties as needed (safety walks, baggage/cargo handling, aircraft servicing, safe GSE operation).
Qualifications
Strong communication skills for professional interaction with team members and customers.
Minimum of 18 years old with a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Physical Requirements
Lift up to 70 pounds (32 kg) regularly.
Carry heavy items up and down jetway stairs.
Climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop frequently and for extended periods.
Work outdoors in all weather conditions, around jet and machinery noise.
