In this senior leadership role you will shape strategic supply chain operations across inpatient, outpatient, and surgical sites, driving continuous improvement, standardization, and cost‑effective material flows that support high quality patient care.
Position Summary Senior Director of Logistics, Supply Chain – NYU Langone Health, New York, NY. Executive leadership roles supporting clinical, operational, and administrative leaders throughout the health system.
Job Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a diverse logistics team across multiple sites, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, accountability, and reliability.
Continuously improve end‑to‑end material flows supporting inpatient units, outpatient clinics, surgical services, and procedural areas.
Drive systemwide standardization of supply utilization, formulary management, and logistics workflows.
Champion initiatives to identify inefficiencies and implement advanced strategies to enhance process reliability, user experience, and cost‑effectiveness.
Collaborate with senior clinical and operational leaders to align logistics operations with patient care needs, surgical case planning, and organizational priorities.
Oversee onboarding and logistical integration of new facilities, expansions, and acquisitions across the health system.
Establish, measure, and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) such as service levels, inventory accuracy, fulfillment precision, and operational costs.
Ensure all logistics functions comply with regulatory, accreditation, and internal standards.
Facilitate the adoption of technologies that streamline workflows, enhance visibility, and improve operational efficiency.
Partner with cross‑functional teams on lifecycle management strategies and systemwide resource allocation to support long‑term improvements.
Manage department budget, actual expenses, and address variances.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Comprehensive understanding of receiving, logistics, and printing services and how they interrelate with procurement activities.
Experience in supply chain management, including support systems, receiving, distribution, information systems, and significant work experience in the printing industry.
Proficiency in procurement, information technology, finance and accounting, change management, distribution, and logistics.
Ability to convey technical information to a nontechnical audience and demonstrate strong selling and buying skills.
Record for implementing process efficiencies and operating a highly customer‑focused group.
Experience with strategic sourcing to optimize departmental activities.
Effective communication with all levels of the organization.
Salary Range $213,477.56 – $314,879.97 annually (new York state salary transparency compliant).
