What You Need To Have

Educational Background: Minimum of Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, preferred, Structural or Chemical Engineering degree acceptable. Technical Excellence: 15 years plus experience in leading engineering activities of complex proposals, product development and projects in the oil and gas industry, preferably involving Solar Turbines equipment. Familiar with common design/fabrication/construction codes and specifications including ANSI, ASME (B31.3, B31.8, Sect. VIII, D2), ASTM, API, NEC, IEC (basic), and NFPA; Specialty codes: Codes used internationally (desirable). Proficient with MS O365 tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive). Demonstrated proficiency in problem solving and troubleshooting. Help identify and resolve technical problems, offer solutions, and provide guidance on engineering approaches. Project Management: Consulting engineers may be involved in proposals and project execution, overseeing proposals and projects from inception to completion, including planning, design and construction. Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in the English language. Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Sense of urgency and good organizational skills are required to work with multiple assignments and competing priorities. Top Candidates Will Have: Educational Background: Master of Science Degree in Engineering is a plus. Professional Engineering License is a major plus. Technical Excellence: Experience with working with a fabrication yard or facility is a plus. Solid knowledge of mechanical equipment (turbines, compressors, generators, process coolers, separator vessels, etc.) is a plus. Familiarity with databases and development of software applications is a plus. Miscellaneous: Ability to work in the United States and able to travel internationally. Current US passport is preferred. Responsibilities and Duties

For Solar gas compression and power generation proposals and projects, provide expert advice, conduct studies, drive the design and systems analysis, and ensure projects comply with safety and regulatory requirements. Provide effective solutions to moderate technical challenges through strong technical competence and engineering judgment. Assess project viability during early stages such as proposal development, including commercial evaluation, risk assessment, and identifying potential issues early on. Drive and develop definitions and detailed designs for gas compression and power generation facilities, ensuring they meet operational requirements and industry standards. Drive and develop definitions and detailed designs during product development, research and engineering stages (R&E). Review and provide comments on engineered deliverables (Basis of Design, calculations, drawings, reports, project specifications), requests for quotes, and vendor documentation as required. Ensure projects comply with relevant regulations, codes, and standards, including environmental regulations and safety standards. Travel domestically or internationally as required to support proposals and projects. Follow company processes and procedures as outlined in the Construction Services QMS process maps. Act as a technical steward or resource for project team members by assisting them with technical questions. Support the engineering and design team during fabrication, installation, commissioning, and start-up of designed systems (fabrication is normally at Solar\'s TurboFab facility in Channelview, TX). Liaison

Frequent contact with managers, engineers, quality, purchasing, and fabrication to obtain information and provide technical direction related to assigned proposals and projects. Occasional contact with suppliers and customers regarding technical and documentation expediting issues. Ability to conduct customer meetings and work with customer engineers in a supportive manner while protecting Solar\'s interests. Business Contribution

Leads cross-functional teams by providing technical expertise, direction and engineering support for complex design and development of technologies, components, systems, products, or services. Principal Accountabilities

Assumes accountability for personal technical performance and guides others in implementing appropriate technical solutions. Provides technical expertise and leadership to Engineering and Design proposals, product development and project teams. Quantifies costs, benefits, risks, and likelihood of success before recommending a course of action. Assists in developing departmental standards, specifications, tools, processes, and equipment. $140,964.00 - $211,446.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
