Senior Trust & Estates Attorney
A well-established law firm in Boston, Massachusetts is seeking a Senior Trust & Estates Attorney to join their team. This attorney will play a key leadership role within the firm’s estate planning practice, managing complex matters and serving as a trusted advisor to high-net-worth individuals and families. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in trust and estate planning, estate administration, and related tax matters, and will be comfortable mentoring junior attorneys and working closely with clients.
Base Pay Range $130,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Handle sophisticated estate planning and estate/trust administration matters
Draft wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related documents
Advise clients on tax planning, wealth transfer strategies, charitable planning, and business succession
Oversee probate filings and administration, including asset distribution and fiduciary accountings
Collaborate with financial advisors, CPAs, and other professionals to develop comprehensive plans
Manage client relationships with professionalism, responsiveness, and discretion
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior attorneys and staff
Participate in business development, networking, and firm growth initiatives
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Admission to the Massachusetts Bar required
5+ years of trust and estates experience preferred
Strong drafting, analytical, and client-facing skills
Experience working with high-net-worth clients and complex estate matters
LLM in Taxation or estate planning experience with tax considerations is a plus
Competitive salary based on experience
Partnership track
The annual salary for this position is between $130,000 – $180,000. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
