A large, well-established engineering and systems integration organisation is hiring a Senior Controls Engineer to support delivery of complex control systems across critical infrastructure, power, and industrial environments.
Due to sustained project demand, multiple hires are planned across the Baltimore and DC/Maryland area.
This is a hands‑on engineering role with real delivery responsibility.
What You’ll Be Doing
Design and engineer control system solutions from concept through commissioning
Program and configure PLCs, RTUs, and SCADA/HMI platforms
Produce control narratives, I/O lists, testing procedures, and documentation
Lead FAT, SAT, and on‑site commissioning activities
Troubleshoot, optimise, and upgrade new and existing control systems
What They’re Looking For
Strong background in controls / automation engineering
Hands‑on experience with PLC and SCADA systems in live environmentsComfortable owning systems through full lifecycle delivery
Strong troubleshooting, testing, and documentation discipline
