Role Overview We are seeking a
Packaging Medical Device Engineer II
to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will have experience designing and developing systems that ensure the robust hermetic sealing and/or sterility, safety, and integrity of high‑volume packaging for medical devices. This role requires an understanding of the complete medical device packaging system—including hermetic seal/sterile barrier and sub‑level systems—alongside regulatory compliance.
Where You Come In
You have proficiency in development and characterization of heat‑sealing sealant layers.
You understand various material properties and their applications (e.g., polymers, compostable materials, barrier materials, and sealants).
You have experience designing and developing systems that preserve product functionality during transportation, storage, and handling.
You have experience working toward high‑volume scalability and automation technologies, taking packaging design from an early prototype stage to high‑volume commercial solutions.
You have hands‑on experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, ArtiosCAD, CAPE, Adobe Illustrator).
You are proficient in generating engineering drawings and design specifications.
Preferred: You understand industry standards such as ASTM D4169, ISO 11607, ISO TS 16775, ISO 13485, and ISTA test standards.
