A DAY IN THE LIFE
Lead all on‑site field operations for BESS and power‑related projects from preconstruction through turnover
Take total ownership of safety, enforcing site‑specific safety plans, OSHA requirements, and client/utility standards
Manage and maintain the overall construction schedule, coordinating electrical, civil, mechanical, and commissioning activities
Supervise and coordinate electrical subcontractors, equipment vendors, and specialty contractors (HV, MV, LV)
Oversee installation of:
Battery enclosures / containers
Inverters, transformers, and switchgear
Foundations, grounding, and trenching
Medium‑and high‑voltage duct banks and cable pulls
Coordinate utility interconnections, inspections, testing, and commissioning support
Lead daily huddles, subcontractor coordination meetings, and safety talks
Track manpower, productivity, and site logistics on multi‑trade, fast‑track projects
Review drawings, submittals, and RFIs; proactively identify constructability or sequencing issuesMaintain jobsite documentation including daily reports, safety logs, and QA/QC records
Partner closely with ARCO/Murray Project Managers to drive schedule, cost, and quality outcomes
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS
7+ years of Superintendent experience on commercial, industrial, or power infrastructure projects
Direct experience with BESS, substations, renewable energy, power generation, or heavy electrical projects strongly preferred
Strong understanding of:
Electrical systems and sequencing
High‑voltage safety practices
Utility coordination and inspections
Proven ability to lead traveling project assignments (regional or nationwide)
Strong communication skills with owners, utilities, inspectors, and subcontractors
Comfortable operating in fast‑track, design‑build environments
Proficient with construction documentation and scheduling tools (Procore experience a plus)
