Position Overview
As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk at Local Bounti, you will play a vital role in the efficient management of incoming and outgoing shipments. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will ensure that all products are received, processed, and dispatched accurately and on time. By coordinating with various teams and maintaining clear communication, you will contribute to a streamlined operation that supports the overall success and growth of the organization. Key Responsibilities
Manage the daily activities of shipping and receiving to ensure smooth and timely operations. Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring proper documentation and inventory control. Coordinate and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring they are packaged, labeled, and dispatched according to schedule. Assign tasks related to shipping and receiving, ensuring staff efficiency and accuracy. Inspect shipments for accuracy and quality, verifying that all products meet company standards. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to coordinate deliveries and shipments. Support the growth of the company by maintaining a well‑organized and efficient shipping and receiving department. Implement LEAN manufacturing practices to streamline shipping and receiving processes and reduce waste. Create and distribute reports on shipment status, inventory levels, and department performance. Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to organize and manage shipping schedules and inventory effectively. Clearly communicate with team members, supervisors, and external vendors to coordinate shipments and deliveries. Capable of managing multiple shipments and inventory tasks simultaneously. Familiarity with shipping, receiving, and inventory control processes, including handling perishable goods. Understand and adhere to Local Bounti’s shipping and receiving policies and procedures. Ability to read and interpret shipping labels, invoices, and inventory sheets accurately. Experience with warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, is a plus. Ability to communicate in English (bilingualism is a plus). Capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving heavy items. Strong attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of shipping and receiving records. Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus. Minimum of 1 or more years of experience in shipping and receiving, inventory control, or warehouse operations, preferably in a food production or manufacturing environment. Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, including order fulfillment, inventory management, and freight documentation. Proficient in using shipping software, inventory management systems, and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office). Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately track shipments, maintain inventory records, and prepare reports. Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices related to warehouse operations and material handling. Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (certification preferred). Strong organizational and time management skills, capable of multitasking in a fast‑paced environment. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members, suppliers, and transportation carriers. Bilingual skills (English and Spanish) are a plus. Physical Demands
Regularly required to stand and walk throughout the warehouse while coordinating shipments. Occasionally required to climb ladders or balance when accessing inventory on higher shelves. Occasionally required to sit while updating shipment records or processing paperwork. Frequently required to stoop, kneel, or crouch to handle products and inspect shipments. Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts, such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Occasionally exposed to varying temperatures in warehouse and loading dock areas. Ability to coordinate hand‑eye movements when operating equipment or handling inventory. Ability to time movements for loading and unloading products safely and efficiently. Frequently required to lift and/or move objects weighing 10 to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus for shipping documentation and product inspection. Benefits
